Full-time with some money - the better you are the more we'll consider
We are a small web design agency in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley with a focus and penchant for information architecture throughout our work. For the last four years, we have worked towards clever, imaginative web design from touchscreen interfaces, web applications, corporate websites and branded entertainment - and we’re still striving to be better.
Whilst we are sometimes forced to use boring generic stock images to please the client, we are seeking an expressive, imaginative designer who understands the commercial environment whilst still able to flex their creative muscles, communicate well and deliver life changing interface designs. Obviously the more creativity and less stock images the better!
So if usability makes you gooey, workflows make you fuzzy, tricky css makes you smiley and contributing to the creative direction of a project makes your heart beat faster, perhaps it's time for you to visit the world of Feedia.
What is the nitty gritty of your role? We'd like you to have:
- At least 2 years commercial experience
- Excellent skills in creating visual concepts for websites, across a wide variety of styles and applications
- Detailed understanding of principles of usability and readability as it applies to web design
- Demonstrated ability to convert visual designs into neat, valid XHTML and CSS prototypes
- Experience with Flash/Action-script (desired, but not necessary)
- Experience with Drupal or other modern CMS highly desired
- Proactive, generous attitude towards your work, your team and our clients
- The ability to work effectively both as part of a team and as an individual
- The ability to follow an objectives-based brief
- A desire to contribute ideas and input on project briefs, not just follow orders
- The ability to self-manage timeframes and meet deadlines
- Excellent inter-personal communication skills
- Some sort of baking / beer buying / coffee bringing hobby would be highly considered
If you think this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. Please attach a CV, portfolio and cover letter and drop it to us at by mail or even in person. Baked goods will also help.

Since 2008, we have been working with the Drupal CMS platform and have built everything from normal websites to shopping carts, applications and large community sites. We always strive to push the boundaries on our projects and get the most from the digital medium for our clients. This means we want a coding stunt-master who will work to clean, professional standards and understands the commercial environment whilst providing some tricky-dicky results to our work and make our clients think we are demi-gods.
So if you want some normal work, some cool work, some experimental work and the ability to contribute your ideas to the overall direction and feel of our projects, perhaps it's time for you to visit the world of Feedia.
So what do we need you to have and do?
- At least 2 years commercial experience (although if you’re clever with less experience we’ll still talk with you)
- Strong PHP 4/5 and mySQL development skills.
- Experience in developing for Drupal CMS, including API / hooks / modules, theming and scripting.
- Excellent XHTML and CSS skills.
- Experience using Javascript and AJAX.
- Well-supported portfolio of previous work.
- Proactive, generous attitude towards your work, your team and our clients.
- The ability to work effectively both as part of a team and as an individual.
- The ability to follow an objectives-based brief.
- A desire to contribute ideas and input on project briefs, not just follow orders.
- The ability to self-manage timeframes and meet deadlines.
- Excellent inter-personal communication skills.
- Some sort of baking / beer buying / coffee bringing hobby would be highly considered.
