5 real-world ways to improve your social networking
I've had a few clients ask me recently the benefit of social media and how to use it effectively. As I started looking at ways to answer their question, I thought I'd put some real world aspect into it to give it some context, some emotion and hopefully some clarity.
Whether your networking online or offline, I believe these techniques have existed long before the internet. Nonetheless, here are just a few things that we would open the discussion with when running a social media workshop for a client's business:

Do you depend on technology?
I recently purchased my first iPhone, and whilst I was looking forward to having this latest piece of mobile technology in my hands, I had no idea how much I would grow to love it. A few weeks on, and I have caught myself saying 'I don't know how I lived without it!'
This realisation reminds me of how quickly people not only embrace technology, but rapidly grow to depend on it.
