The advantage of starting and planning for your online now is that you are ready to launch in 2010; putting these plans off to start in 2010 means that you start from scratch in January.

Hands up if you’ve heard of the ‘7 P’s’ principle. Go on, raise your hand wherever you might be reading this. Are you getting some strange looks? Good.
For those of you with your hands down, the ‘7 P’s’ refers to this phrase:

Belief - an acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists.
Potential - having or showing the capacity to become or develop into something in the future.
Action - the fact or process of doing something typically to achieve an aim.
Result - a consequence, effect or outcome of something.
Everything and everyone has potential. Upon identifying potential, action is applied to achieve the result. So why do most fail? Sadly, because they believe they will.

I'm often directed by clients to build them 'just a simple website' and it often ends in confusion and at times - conflict. From the client's perspective they require a project that will not cost the earth, will achieve their goals and be seemingly painless to build. From the creative professional perspective it's about the website being functionally powerful, easy to use and aesthetically pleasing yet clever enough to make it memorable. Funnily enough we both want the same thing but just in different words - so why does it get muddled?
