Better Communication, Better Results

At Feedia, we have long discussed and promoted the benefits of effective communication. Communication is the backbone to all relationships, in both professional and personal capacities. It is easy to find people who agree with this, but a lot harder to adopt into a daily routine.

BNET Editiorial, 'Improving Communication with Your Team' highlights a number of well considered strategies that empower people to build successful relationships through highly effective communication.

Ask for what you want

It is interesting to note how many people portray a view of self entitlement and expect results from nothing by the way they communicate - most of the time without even realising they are doing it. One thing I feel everyone can benefit from is realising and understanding the power of effective communication.

Now, effective communication does not have to mean 'difficult', 'complex' or even time consuming. Sometimes, the most important channel for successful communication is to pay attention to your tone, attitude and the way you phrase your words.

Maximising Communication

Last night the Feedia team attended the Networx event - Cracking the Creative Brief.

The knowledge and insights of the panel confirmed that the briefing and proposal process is all about strong internal and external communication, adhering to a structure and sticking to process.

Like everything, communication is the key to developing a successful brief and effectively conveying your vision. So many elements create a brief, each bringing a different perspective and understanding to the process.

Along with today's fast paced business environment, global industries and even the transferred affects of the world-wide recession, it seems collaboration tools via the internet and a stream of tech companies are being quickly adopted for team, client and project management.

Communication and Intention

All relationships - personal, social and business - are based on trust and communication. The degree of trust directly correlates to the quality of the relationship. Communication is the tool we access to seek, develop and maintain a relationship.

When communication is disguised with empty promises, insincerity and a lack of integrity, trust is jeopardized, and subsequently the relationship. Communication is not just your words and conversations. It’s interpreted in everything you do and say - verbally, physically; directly and indirectly.
